We look around us and we see death, pain, hatred and an absolute lack of success. Then we try and connect the scriptures with what we see in the world in order to keep our own sanity but even that causes more chaos and questions.
2 Corinthians 5:7 "for we walk by faith, not by sight."This is a very well know scripture but do we really believe this. It is one thing confessing that this is our lifestyle but it is another to live it out.
Matthew 14:28-30 "And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”Peter started walking on water... he was busy conquering the situation. But he began to sink because he looked at the problem. While he had his eyes fixed on Christ he saw the power and he had confidence... but the circumstances made him sink. It is the same with us. When a problem comes knocking at your door... do you look at the unseen, where God already gave a solution? Or are you staring dead into the face of the problem? See we must start looking with our spiritual eyes... where God is in control. We don't live by what we see but by what we do not see.
Imagine the peace we will experience and the victory when we start looking to the Spirit instead of the natural. Then, and then only, nothing will move us or shake us or make us tremble because we see the Great solution instead of the problem.
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."Keep in mind that we cannot say we have faith once we see something. Faith is hoping and trusting for what you do not see yet. It is waiting upon a solution with steadfast surety! Let's take a stand in faith!
