Keep Your Focus

Saying that you shouldn't get offended or that you should act in love is always easier said than done.  We spend our entire lives trying to please God and live lives that are worthy of notice in a Christian community.  We always try and do good and when we fail we always use the excuse saying we are simply human and that humans slip up.
But let's face it; we aren't satisfied with failing day after day.  We want to have this life that is promised us with no offense, or hatred, patience and the love of Christ in all situations.
John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
This is where we need to understand things clearly... trying to do right won't get us anywhere.  We already know that the flesh is always working against the Spirit.  As humans we tend to mess things up naturally without much trouble.  So even trying to be holy by our good deeds corrupts us because our holiness and righteousness comes by grace through faith.  Fact of the matter is, we need to get into a position where acts of life comes as naturally as our fleshly acts once came..
Romans 8:7-8 "the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God."
So the summary is this: we need to keep our eyes on God.  Once we are focused on God we act  in the live of Christ naturally.  I am speaking of letting God consume your thoughts and conversations.  Let God be all you see, eat and breath day in and day out and you won't be able to show anything but the character of Christ.
