A few days ago I had a very busy day planned. It was filled with plans of finishing off tons of work I have as well as catching up on some pleasures in life I have missed due to my busy schedule. Needless to say, only half way into the day and everything changed. From unsuspected visitors to cases where immediate problem solving was needed and even motivating. I wasn't upset about how the day went... and even though I didn't get to half of what I hoped for, I was quite calm and could fit those plans the day after. This scripture came to mind;
Psalm 139:3-4 "You search out my path and my lying downand are acquainted with all my ways.4 Even before a word is on my tongue,behold, O Lord, you know it altogether."The question is, do we really know what it means to give your entire life to God? David sure did when he wrote of how God knows his every step and thought even before it takes place. Do we really mean what we say when we give our lives to the Lord and hand Him our future, plans, dreams, ambitions and hopes? We tend to take up, the God we serve, very lightly and in addition to doing so; we tend to get frustrated or irritated when He's hand is seen in the plans we made.
We already understand that our God is one of love and peace. That he only wants the best for us. So then why is it a problem when God messes with our planned days? Did He not already planned them for us? Imagine what God can do when we simply surrender all and enjoy each day the way it is handed to us. Imagine the people's lives that will be touched, changed and transformed when we are where God wants us most!
