The
Bloodline
If we look at bloodline we can easily say that
were you come from is what gives you your identity. The medical world calls it genes and it is
carried over from generation to generation.
Usually it is in terms of diseases like high blood pressure or cholesterol
or bad eye sight. It gets carried over
from generation to generation and there is nothing that medical practitioners
can do to prevent you from getting it.
Of course there are also characteristic trades like the shape of your
nose or mouth. The build you have or
your length. These are all things by
which people can see and connect you to a group of people called your
family. Once you know from what family
you come from you know what your limits are and what you are good at. So it is quite important to know this. So from a Christian point we need to know that
we no longer have a natural bloodline.
We are now heirs of God like Romans
8:15b says: …but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”. We are now in God’s bloodline and therefore
we have the same character trades as He has.
Jesus goes as far as to say that the same miracles He did and even
greater is laid up for us. But none of
this can be used or accessed if we do not know where we come from and who our
Father is. Once we understand that we
are God;s sons, we can step out and be the heirs and sons we have been
predestined to be.
