A rich investor lost his wife during birth of his son. His entire life his son was his everything. They would spend as much time together as possible going fishing every Sunday and seeing the world whenever school holidays were on. One day, on his way home from school the investors son saw a little boy's foot stuck in some train tracks with a train approaching. He ran to the little boy's aid just in time to save his life but lost his in the process. In commemoration of his son and with a heavy heart the investor had a local artist paint a picture of his late son. After some years the investor passed away himself. His will stated that all his belongings was to be sold on an auction since he had no heir. Alot of the neighborhood's people showed up as the man has very valuable possessions. The first to be auctioned was this particular painting of the late house owners son and so no one wanted to bid on it. The simple explanation was... what would we want to do with a painting of another man's son? The housekeeper however had a close relationship with this son and so she said she will take the painting yet all she had was $5. The bid was closed and she received the painting for only $5. At that stage the auctioned closed. People was raging mad and asked why. The auctioneer simply said that the will stated; the one who buys my son... also gets the rest of my belongings!
Here we see a classic story n the same manner. Jesus says, I am the way, the truth and the life. If you don't accept the son, you are rejecting the entire offer.
